English Reading Comprehension

Reading comprehension is the

ability to process text, understand its meaning, and to integrate with

what the reader already knows. ... If word recognition is difficult,

students use too much of their processing capacity to read individual

words, which interferes with their ability to comprehend what

is read. Therefore,

we will focus on strategies to help your child comprehend what they have read

and make sense of it in context. We will test the students

every two weeks to see if they’re embedded these strategies.

    英語的各項考試內容著重於閱讀測驗，這門課重點在培養閱讀理解能力，讓孩子瞭解文章的內容，理解其中的含義，並結合孩子已經具備的能力。因為將閱讀放在識字過於狹隘，因此我們將重點放在策略，幫助孩子理解他們所讀到的文章，理解上下文是有意義的。請注意參加此課程的孩子每兩週都會有一次考試，幫助外師瞭解孩子是否能夠內化這些閱讀理解策略。
